I’ve been a parishioner at Saint James and Saint Michael’s since 1993, for 30 years, and prior to that my parish was Saint Patrick’s in Shaughnessy, in Calgary. I am a father of two fantastic children, Shannon and Andrew, who reside at both ends of Canada.
I’ve been involved in a number of ministries in our parish Over the years including the St. Vincent De Paul Society, Knights of Columbus, Eucharistic minister, Finance committee member, sacristan, member of the Saint Michael’s Christian Fellowship, member of the High Country Ministerial Association for Black Diamond, Turner Valley and Longview, board member for the Barnabas House Society, and most recently team leader for the St. Michael’s Pastoral Care Ministry.
I also conduct Catholic devotional services for palliative care patients in both Oilfields and High River hospitals as well as palliative and spiritual care visitations and serve as a Pastoral Care volunteer in both hospitals. I volunteer with the NODA (No One Dies Alone) program in those same hospitals and the Rockyview and South Health Campus in Calgary.
I love cooking and can’t garden worth a hill of beans!
I would love to see our Catholic faith promoted more visibly within the community at large, in our parish and diocese.
