We are bringing back the Living Nativity in 2023. We will quickly be creating a group of people to work on this very important project. Please contact the office if you are interested and for more information.
Come one! Come all! To a virtual Living Nativity in 2020!
In an effort to keep everyone safe this year, St James Parish in Okotoks will be offering an opportunity to prepare for Christmas and the birth of Jesus that can be accessed online during Advent. We will be presenting “The Shepherd’s Tale” (with permission from Mother of God Music), sung and narrated by the Pollock family of Black Diamond. You can access this video righ there on this page.
We also invite you to come to St James Church during Advent and spend a few minutes at the stable located on the South West corner of the Church. Each week of Advent there will be additions to the Stable in anticipation of Christmas Eve, when the Holy Family (Actors) will be in the Stable between Masses.
Please join us for Christmas Mass. Christmas Eve Masses will be celebrated at 3,5,7,9 and 11pm. Christmas Day Masses are at 8 and 10 am. There are also Masses at St Michael’s in Black Diamond Christmas Eve at 7pm and 11pm and Christmas Day at 9:00am. Online registration for masses will open one week before Christmas (December 17th).
As in past years, we are supporting a local charity. This year the charity is The Okotoks Food Bank. If you are able to make a donation, please do so directly on the Okotoks Food Bank website.
We look forward to welcoming you back to the replica of the Town of Bethlehem in 2021!
