Who are we? The Finance Council at St. James comprises a group of parishioners who come together to review the financial information of the parish and, in conjunction with the Pastor, determine the parish's financial direction.
What we do The finance council reviews the annual budget and monthly financial information of the parish. They set up meetings to discuss the operations and capital costs of the parish and provide updates on the parish's financial situation.
A member of the council signs cheques, reviews financial statements, and approves the annual budget. If changes in operations or excess expenses are required, the council is consulted to determine its financial viability.
Meetings The finance council at St. James Parish meets once each quarter and calls for special meetings when required.
